2010

I'd have to say that 2010 was a pretty good year. I like most years, though. I'm not big into declaring all-out disgust with a year in general. A lot can happen in a year, some good, some bad, but overall, life is pretty good, and I'm very blessed.
Here's a brief recap of our year:
January:
-I decided to stop blogging, so I'm drawing a blank about what else we did! (isn't that horrible?!)
I'm sure it had to do with wrestling tournaments, and I'm pretty sure my parents came for a visit on their way down to Florida.

February:
-I decided to start blogging again. (man, that was short-lived, eh?!)
-We got a massive snow storm, and were out of school for days and days.
-Bella was FINALLY the dog of the week at obedience school.
-I went to the state wrestling tournament in Salem, VA. No state champs, but a few 2nd place finishes.
-I was also a bit obsessed with Bella- I posted a lot about her!

March:
-Bella "graduated" obedience school.
-Kristi, Jeff and I went skiing.
-Our mailbox was stolen, but it was returned.

April:
-Everyone went to Florida to visit my parents. We had fun.
-I found out I was selected to run the New York City Marathon!
-I turned 27.
-We suddenly had to start renovating the bathroom. Eeek!
-I ran my second 200+ mile team relay- this time: The American Odyssey Relay.

May:
-Jeff turned 31.
-Dylan Jeffrey was born on his Uncle Jeff's birthday!
-We celebrated Apple Blossom!

June:
-We all traveled to Syracuse to watch dad coach an all-star game.
-I finished my 4th year teaching, and Kristi and I went to Edinboro for a quick weekend.
-Jeff made some major progress with the bathroom.
-We started family vacation in Edisto Beach.

July:
-We finished up family vacation at the beach.
-Kristi got her tonsils out.
-Even more bathroom progress.
-Jeff and I celebrated our one year anniversary!
-We traveled to beautiful Denver for Matt & Amanda's wedding.

August:
-Vivian Valentine Hilchey was born August 1st!
-I donated some of my hair to Locks of Love.
-We were in New York for several days. While there we golfed a little, sewed a little, hung out with friends, and also went to Angelo and Nikki's wedding!
-Bella turned 2!
-Kristi and I went back to New York to host and open-house for Kadi & Vivian.

September:
-Kristi and I ran the Virginia Beach Rock and Roll Half Marathon- it was awesome!
-I figured out I have a problem on my hands...way too many shoes. I mean, WAY TOO MANY.
-Jeff ran the Warrior Dash with some friends.
-We traveled to New York for Dave & Meagan's wedding. (I think I complained in this post how busy I was with basketball and training as well- bet you'll love to read that again!) :)

October:
-My marathon training continued as there was only one month until the big day!
-My 7th grade basketball team won the league championship!
-Kristi and I went to Edinboro for a quick trip- then it was back to Winchester to run my 20 miler!
-Jeff and I went to a Halloween party- sadly, I didn't have my camera.
-Only one week to go until the big race!

November:
-I ran the New York City Marathon- finishing in 4 hours 51 minutes.
-The bathroom is finally 100% finished! Yippie!
-I started a daily "thankful" post- highlighting one thing each day that I am thankful for.
-Jim and Bianca welcomed Julia- 4 weeks early!
-My parents and Aunt Nan, Uncle Andrew and Monica came down for a weekend to see Drew play football at liberty. We celebrated a Thanksgiving a little early.
-Jeff and I spent Thanksgiving at home in Virginia- we cooked up a yummy little meal for the two of us.

December:
-We have had Bella for one year!
-We had our first two snow days of the school year. All for about 2 inches of snow!
-I got slightly obsessed with food.
-We spent Christmas in New York!
-We got new flooring downstairs!
