first few days of summer

Jeff has been working like a machine on the bathroom the past few days. He is determined to get this done! It has been quite a long time that we've been without a shower upstairs, so we're all ready for the finished product! Right now our main goal is to get the shower done, then I'm sure I'll want the floor to be done, and then a new vanity, remove the tiles from the walls, and change the paint color! I know...it's never ending! So....Jeff has to grout the base of the shower, put in the shower fixtures, and then in about a week our glass door will be built and ready to install. I cannot wait!

*FYI: The series of pictures starts in April, and the last is tonight....can you say: LONG process?!!

Oh yeah, did you know we had a massive water spill too? Ummm...yeah, a few inches of water down stairs. Needless to say, we'll be getting new flooring down there, and that carpet is long gone.
Breaking up the tub that was under the bath fitter was a BIG job!

Jeff has done this entire project on his own (with the exception of a plumber coming in to set the drain in the center of the shower, and running plumbing for the second shower head) so he is quite proud of his work. I've got to be honest, it's been a LONG and sometimes stressful project, but once it's done it will all be worth it. I'll be sure to post more pictures once the shower heads and the door is in.
