Recent happenings...

School came to an end on Friday. I have to be honest...I am SO happy it's summer, but- I think this year of teaching was my favorite yet. I LOVED so many of my students, and so many others who weren't even in my class. I've gotten much more comfortable with my classroom management style (or lack thereof, sometimes!) and I am more calm compared to when I started four years ago. I will miss so many of the 8th graders next year, but look forward to building new relationships with the students who will be back.

Kristi and I traveled to Edinboro on Saturday for a close friend's high school graduation party. We were able to spend time with some of our favorite families and friends while we were there for the weekend. Mom and Dad even made it to Taylor's party, which was nice. Taylor is heading to Virginia Tech in August- he was accepted into the honors program! And...he was the salutatorian of his high school class! He's a smart one, and a great young man too.


Jeff is working hard on getting the bathroom finished up. He is diligently placing every tile in its exact spot. Check back at the end of the week (hopefully!) for a post on the finished product.

"Official" training for the Rock and Roll 1/2 Marathon has started. I am excited that Kristi is running this race too! Full marathon training doesn't officially start until July 5th. Some days I have no idea how I will ever run 26.2 miles!

We're heading to Edisto Beach very soon! We're looking forward to exploring this new vacation spot and spending time with Jeff's family.

Bella is keeping a smile on all of our faces. She is such a funny girl!
