Lots of snow...

We got hit pretty hard (for Virginia standards) with snow last week.  It was a bit too much snow for Claire to enjoy, because she couldn't even walk through it!  I didn't really get any pictures, because Jeff and I were too busy shoveling!  We were saved by one of our neighbors though, who brought his backhoe, (yes, he has one!  ha!  He owns a local business, which he uses it for) to the neighborhood to clear some of the snow out of the way.  A plow (finally) came through late Thursday night, after the snow had ended, but of course, plowed literally one car width, and left the rest.  So, I had to shovel about 8 feet past my drive way, into the road to get all the snow (almost 21 inches).  Well, that machine took care of that for us!  It was such a nice blessing!  So, I whipped him up some chocolate chip cookies as a little token of our appreciation.  I also neglected to share the snowman Claire and Kristi made the last time it snowed.  The last time was great packing snow, and not too much to get around in.  (about 4 inches).  I think it turned out really cute...and I think Claire agrees!

I also did some different Valentine's Day cookies this year, since I had a new cookie cutter and I really wanted to try it out.  It's a mason jar!  I think they turned out pretty cute.  I only had one order for cookies for the "holiday" but that's ok, because it really does take so much time. Of course, I couldn't pass up making a few simple hearts too!

It's really sad (and greedy to say) but having so many days off makes it so much harder to go back to work!  I think it's back to reality tomorrow, which is ok, and you know what else would be ok?  If spring, or summer for that matter, would hurry up and get here.  I'm sick of the cold!!
