Ok, so I'm going to try to post something each day, leading up to Thanksgiving, that I'm thankful for. This might not be anything major here folks, so don't get too excited that I'm about to get really deep! I just feel that sometimes I forget to be thankful all the time, for all the wonderful opportunities and "things" I have in my life....so here goes day #1.
Today I am thankful for the people in my life who listen. Who let me say what I feel, even if they are bored to death! They don't cut me off, they don't change the subject, they just listen- and hear what I'm saying. For example- my husband, who listens every single day, about who knows what! I can go on and on, and he's always listening! Another is a close family friend in Rochester who I called today while he was at work to talk about mortgage stuff. He's always listening, and I love that. (He's also very smart and offers great advice, so I listen to him too!) Ok, so there are obviously a hundred people I could list that listen, but I won't go there, since this is supposed to be short, but for entertainment purposes, I'll tell you a group of people that usually doesn't listen to me....drumroll please.....my students! Oh, my wonderful, hormonal, out of control tweens. I just love them.
Oh, and on a very small scale- I am thankful for green mountain pumpkin spice coffee and a dog who is a very good girl when we're at work all day.
What are you thankful for today?

I'm thankful that I can appreciate the beauty of the "little" things in life. ie: the way the light shines through leaves on a tree, the joy of a dog running free in a field, the fact that I can smile at a stranger and they smile back. Little things like this are what make life so great!
