Life...

Nonnie and Poppie came for a visit down from cold and snowy Syracuse over the weekend!  It was great to have them here, and Claire just loved being able to play with them and serve some new people tea from her tea set!  Jeff was away until very late Saturday night...or I guess I could say early Sunday morning, but it was good not to have anything pressing to do on Sunday since we didn't have to work on Monday.  We hung out at home and I made The Pioneer Woman's Sunday night stew and it was yummy!  We finally were able to exchange our Christmas gifts and Claire is in love with her new sandwich set and scooter from Aunt Kim.  Thanks for coming down for a visit!  We hope you had as much fun as we did!  (and of course I only took one picture the whole weekend...so here it is!)

Let's talk about how I haven't had to work since Friday!  Whoop whoop!  I think I've mentioned this before around here, but I guess I'll say it again...I learned a long time ago not to worry about snow days  and just be happy with whatever happens, so I'm just going to be happy that I have another day off tomorrow!  I love being home with the girls!  We've had lots of fun.  One of Claire's favorite things to do is exercise.  (I love that!)  I will never discourage her, and even if it hinders one of my work outs because she wants to join, I will never let that get me down.  I want her to see me exercise, and I want her to know how important it is and to like it!  So when she asked me the other day if she could exercise on the treadmill of course I said yes!  She also did an exercise video with me this morning.  She did a pretty good job, but of course showed some signs of being disinterested.  And just so you know, she can't exercise is any old clothes...she must have on an exercise outfit that consists of running shorts and a top.  Too funny!  Claire has also been able to play outside in the snow because she has a great Aunt!  She is much more brave than I ever will be, so she has taken Claire outside, which is also great.  They don't stay out for long because it's pretty darn cold, but she loves it!
