How about one more day off?
Yeah, sounds good to me too.
So there ya have it...a five-day weekend coming to an end. It was just great!
Today's reason- ice. Freezing rain, sleet, etc. It warmed up probably around noon, and I'm sure the roads were fine by then, but we don't have a plan to arrive to school at noon, so we got the whole day.
It's hard for me to admit when I have a lazy day. I'm not sure why. I feel like I'm not an accomplished woman if I just do nothing- which I didn't actually do nothing all day, just some of the day! Poor Claire didn't seem to be feeling too well today, and it's not like her to lay around, or want to be held, or rocked, but today, that's what she wanted. So, I spent a good part of the morning just holding her. We watched Sesame Street, and read books. She just laid there, poor thing! I did do a load of laundry, our real estate agent came by to take some pictures of the house, I made dinner, among a few other things too, so I guess it wasn't a total waste of a day. Ok, I guess I am totally trying to justify my day to the internet. Get over yourself, Michele, really! No one cares if you sat on the couch, or did 50 loads of laundry. Really...I'm just going to keep telling myself that.
Anyway, back to work tomorrow, which is ok, I guess!
And, incase you care...a plow actually came down the street today. Plows never ever come down our street. Obviously, there is no snow to plow, but he spread rocks on the road. I just don't get it...rocks! Ugh, it's so annoying! I guess because I grew up in the snow I don't appreciate rocks for traction. I don't appreciate rocks at all actually. Unless they're in a rock garden, or at the bottom of a fish tank, or anywhere but on the road, beating up my car. Ok, I'm done.
Oh, and real quick- check out the Valentine's garland I made. Burlap, paint and glitter. Easy and festive, right?!
