keeping busy...

Life has just been happening here in the Holmes household. By the time 9 pm rolls around, I am BEAT! (Although, much to my own surprise, I've been up a bit later than normal lately...maybe it's because summer is so close?!) Anyway...school is rolling right along. 11 days to go. YES! I'm looking forward to no more school! The kids are pretty much driving me nuts, but I guess they're excited to be done too!

Between teaching, coaching track, working at the funeral home, working outside, and just doing the every day things (like keeping a clean house, making dinner, packing lunches, etc) I've been quite busy. Jeff has been working like a dog around this place. He prepped an area of our yard that was ugly and weed filled and then laid sod down. It looks wonderful! We also opened up the pool over the weekend. Now, talk about UGLY! Well, I guess if you like the color green you wouldn't think it was too ugly, but since I'm into a nice clear pool, green just isn't my thing! It's already looking better, once we vacuumed and put some chemicals in, I knew it would improve.

I've been pretty lousy about posting lately- sorry about that. I promise I'm not slacking that bad! I have reasons, but I shouldn't have excuses, I shouldn't let my loyal (6 or 7) readers down! I'm sure once school ends I'll be back on my game! Did I already mention there are only 11 days to go? Oh, and one more exciting thing is that the final track meet of the year is tomorrow...YIPPIE! I'm ready to get home from school before 5:30 every night. (practice ends at 4:30, and some parents don't get their kids until 5:20 or 5:30...I know it's not the kid's fault, but it sure can be frustrating!)

I'll leave you with a picture of sweet little Viv. 9 months old, and should be walking on her own very soon! Over the weekend we saw her walking behind one of her push toys while we were ichatting- she loves to move!
