Don't get me wrong- I had a wonderful time. Kristi and I were spoiled by my parents and their friends, the sun was so nice and warm, the Super Bowl turned out just as I had hoped, I ran outside in a running skirt and t-shirt...no pants, ear bands, jackets, hello! It was awesome!
Of course, being the nervous nelly that I am, I was really concerned about the forecast for early Saturday morning. Freezing rain and sleet, between the hours of 4 and 7 am. GREAT! We wanted to leave the house at 4, our flight was scheduled to leave at 6. Well, every single day of my life, God shows me another reason why I must stop worrying. No weather problems, an on time flight and sunny skies when we arrived to my parents place late that morning.
So, instead of going into a play by play of the weekend, I will tell you we sat by the pool quite a bit, and read, and talked, and swam, and we exercised, shopped, spent time with some friends, went to a Super Bowl party at an absolutely beautiful home, I mean like nothing I've ever seen before. For my readers who are baseball fans, the house we went to, was Dwight Evans (former outfielder for the Red Sox) former home. My parents friends, are friends with him, and when he relocated last year to another place in Florida, they bought his place. It was incredible.
I really can't wait to go back and visit again. There's always a chance my parents could end up buying a home in this golfing community, then I would have a place to go anytime I wanted to get some warm sunshine! :)
