Florida!

The girls and I were lucky enough to travel to Florida on the 26th.  It was absolutely wonderful!  First, let me just tell you how great the weather was.  It was warm, really warm, like in the 80's.  Just perfect! The girls loved playing outside and Claire says swimming was her favorite!  Even Anna got in on some swimming action, kicking all around the pool with just her arm floaties!

Of course I was a nervous wreck for the trip down, since I was tackling the flight alone with the girls.  And, obviously, the flight was delayed!  And then of course the 2 hour and 11 minute flight was more like 2 hours and 40 minutes!  Blah!  Anna was a bit challenging at times….but everyone, and I mean everyone that was surrounding me, was just as nice as they could be.  The flight attendants helped me with Anna when Claire had to use the bathroom, the 5 year old next to me, and his mom across the aisle were great, the poor lady sitting in front of Claire, who probably hit her seat one too many times, was still so nice, even though I'm sure my kids drove her nuts!  Honestly, Claire really was good.  She sat quietly, reading, coloring, using the iPad, playing with her dolls, etc.  Because of the delay it was a LONG day!  We were supposed to be in Ft Myers by 7 pm, (which is Anna's bedtime) and we didn't get to my parents until almost 9!  Let's just say I was happy to get there, and of course, Anna was out cold before we even got off the road leaving the airport!

We were also able to see lots of close friends while we were visiting, and even got to celebrate Mr & Mrs Paganelli's 80th birthday's, respectively.  We were so excited to be included in all the festivities, as they have been so good to the Diminuco's since as far back as I can remember.

The flight home was good, mostly because Kristi flew back with me.  (She drove down with my parents and spent almost 2 weeks there!)  The girls were good, and I think the early morning flight helped with that.

Here are lots and lots of pictures….obviously!
Happy 2015!

We spent some time with the Hall's, who have a beautiful home in Fiddlesticks.  They live half the year in North Carolina, and Donna and Johnny had a rib cook off one night.  We were lucky enough to be the judges!  The girls ate better that night then any night we were there!  They loved all the food, from the homemade slaw, to the baked beans, fruit, ribs, fries, dessert, everything!
