Giving Thanks

Hey friends!  Can you believe Thanksgiving is here?  I love Thanksgiving.  It's probably one of my favorites.  This year we'll be right here in Winchester, and my in-laws will arrive Thanksgiving day to spend some time with us.  We'll keep the meal pretty low key, but the best part is just being together.  November has again been a busy month.  Wrestling season officially started, so that has kept everyone busy.  Jeff is optimistic about the team, which is always a good thing.  His matches officially start next week with a trip to a tournament at Jeff's high school in Syracuse!  Phew!  It's going to be a long trip!  Lots of fundraising went into this season, which also took lots of hard work.  I was busy again with lots of cookies, and of course chasing the girls around!  We had so many incredible weather days this month that we spent a lot of time outside when we could.  I think it's good for the girls!  We had some friends come in from NY to visit, I ran a half-marathon relay, Kristi hosted a fun Saturday morning brunch Pampered Chef party, we went to Jake and Katie's for dinner, we went to the pancake fundraiser for Jeff's team, my awesome mom had a birthday, some good friends stayed the night on their way south for Thanksgiving, and I baked and decorated several hundred cookies!  School is going fine.  I was told last week that I was awarded a grant that I applied for, which was very exciting news!  I also went shopping on behalf of our department for a big Thanksgiving meal for a student's family in our school who is in great need.  Overall, life is good and I am incredibly blessed.
I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and you have a moment to reflect on how wonderful life really is.  (even on the hard days, which trust me, I know exist!)
