Jeff celebrated a birthday on Sunday the 5th!
I have a feeling he was feeling a little "blue" from Apple Blossom Weekend, but we still made it out for some yummy Mexican food! Sadly, I had to pass on the margaritas, but I'm sure I'll drink a couple next year to make up for missing out!
We did some of those lame "early" birthday presents. For example, while we were in Florida he found a golf club that he has needed??? (read: wanted!) for quite some time. So, my dad told me about it, but said that Jeff felt bad buying it for himself, because it was quite expensive. I gave my dad some money, and he had the people at the club put it in his golf bag with a note from Claire and I. He seemed pleased, and he said it helped his golf game dramatically! (ha!)
He also needed new running shoes, because he donated his at the end of the Tough Mudder. And since he was planning to run the 10k, he needed them prior to his birthday. Kristi and I went in and got him a gift card, because I wanted him to be able to pick his own running shoes, so we gave it to him the week before, and he picked out exactly what he wanted. (And what's new running shoes without new socks?! I'm sure he was just thrilled about those!)
