Alright...31 days down. January is done. Really? Already? Phew- a few days felt like they were taking FOREVER, but looking back, January was just another month that flew by. Quite honestly, I'm fine with that!
All has been well around the Holmes household. I've been baking up a storm. All the cookies that I had to make for a baby shower order have been baked and decorated. Then I found out today the number of people attending went up, so I had to bake more. That's ok. I got to make some footballs too. I'll frost and decorate all of those tomorrow.
I made lots of hearts and frosted those, and bagged them up all nice and cute, and sent them to my family. I think they enjoyed them. I also sent them some 100 Calorie Pack Chocolate Chip Cookies. I like the idea of the 100 calorie pack thing, but if you eat like, ummmm, 27 cookies, it defeats the whole purpose! (not that I ate 27 cookies...maybe just 7!)
We had this for dinner: The MM Sandwich. Courtesy of The Pioneer Woman. It got good reviews from the crowd. (Ok, so the crowd is only Jeff and Kristi, and I'm sure Bella woud have liked it too, but she's not allowed.)
I also found enough time to make these banana chip muffins. We had some WAY overripe bananas, and they just had to go. They were making the whole kitchen smell kinda weird. So, I turned them into mush, and made muffins. Delish, if I do say so myself.
Oh, and hey, have I told you lately that I get to go to Florida on Saturday? Yeah, I'm going to Florida on Saturday very very early. It's ok that we're going to have to leave for the airport before the hour of 4 am, because by 10 am I will be at my parents place, hopefully letting the sun shine in my face, right next to the pool. I am blessed.
