One month until the New York City Marathon!
Whoa!
I'm super nervous already, and it's still a month away!
My training has been tough the past few weeks, but my 18 on Saturday felt pretty good, and even though I had a little mental breakdown at about mile 15 of that run, I never felt too icky, and I finished it fairly strong. I'm hoping my 20 mile run goes just as well.
I've been battling heel pain for quite a few weeks, and it's just getting worse. It's annoying, and frustrating and scary. It hurts all the time now- so I took today off, and I'll take tomorrow off, then I have 14 Sunday, so we'll see how it goes.
I know, this is boring, but hey, this blog is about my life, and marathon training is a pretty big part of my life right now, so you're stuck listening to it for at least another month. (probably longer, since I'll probably want to talk about it for weeks after!)
I'm so glad tomorrow is Friday.
We had parent conferences tonight, and some parents get under my skin- but that's a totally different post. (I'm just not sure how much more accountable the teachers can be held...I'm a PE teacher, I couldn't imagine being a core teacher. We can't bring their homework to their house and put it on their table- and that's what a big complaint was..."how are we supposed to know if Suzie has any work to do?" Ugh! I could go on and on, but I'll stop.)
Have a great weekend.

Hey there...
Sounds like you need a boot for plantar faciitis. This is what it looks like :

I had major heel issues last summer and this thing helped so much. You might also need a new pair of shoes. The boot is amazing, though. Give that a shot.
Enjoy your last month of training- marathon day will be here before you know it!!!
Have a happy Friday and a great weekend.
