over the weekend...

*First, I'd like to tell everyone how darn blessed I am. I had another great birthday. I was spoiled and got some pretty awesome gifts. Some of which include a marathon training book, a new digital camera, and a Garmin Forerunner. I had a great day, and I know year #27 will be a good one!

*Jeff and I had this vision of renovating the bathroom in a few years, possibly next summer. Well...I guess you can't always pick when things go wrong as homeowners, so we are actually renovating the bathroom now. As we speak, or actually as I type, Jeff is painstakingly removing tiles and rotted, moldy wood. We had some major water issues and realized we had more than just those issues, so we needed to act sooner rather than later. It's not something we bargained for right now, but we're hoping it will turn out to be worth it when it's all said and done.
This is what my bathroom looks like right now:

*My dad is having an operation tomorrow. Please send a prayer out there for him and the doc. He has two kidney stones, a very very large one and a smaller one. He has had some pretty intense attacks. He says this is the worst pain he has ever felt. He has been hospitalized twice because of it. Now, remember, this is the same guy who wouldn't even go to the hospital when he got hit on the sideline while coaching and broke his leg. This shows me just how much pain he must be in. So...they will "blast" the stones, because one of them is too large for him to pass, and they are afraid it will obstruct his kidney functions, and they also need to be sure that the blood in his urine is related to this or if it something separate. I'll keep you posted, but we're praying that this operation solves the problem.

*My sister-in-law Kim could deliver a baby boy any day now, so keep her and baby in your prayers too!

*I am leaving you with a picture of Bella watching TV in Jeff's chair. She makes me laugh....how can this be comfortable?
