Our trip to Florida was a great success! I was a nervous wreck, because we decided to drive. Airplane tickets were SO EXPENSIVE. It's almost sickening how much it would have cost us to fly. (think $1,600+) So, Jeff, Kristi and I decided we should drive! We all took the day off on Wednesday, to make the driving thing more worth our time. We left Winchester on Tuesday afternoon and drove through the night, arriving at my parents a bit before 9 am Wednesday. It was such a smooth trip! The girls did great, the driving was spilt nicely, and the best part, it was so much less expensive. We actually decided to rent a mini-van (yes, now I totally want one!) and it worked out great! Claire kept asking me if Daddy bought me a new car. Haha...I wish!
Kadi and the kids were also in Florida for a few days while we were there, and that was so fun for the kids. We did the typical Florida things, played outside, went to the beach, swam, rode bikes, ate, laughed...you know, good stuff!
Here are WAY too many pictures for you to look at!
There were several dolphins swimming very close to the shore while we were at the beach. It was a really neat thing to see!
The trip home was just as smooth. We left on Easter Sunday evening, and arrived back in Winchester a bit before 10 am on Monday. It was nice to have one day to regroup and get settled for school on Tuesday. I hope you had a blessed Easter with those you love.
