Fun!

Kadi, Peter, Vivian and Jack came to town for a few days, and we had a great time.  We celebrated Kadi's birthday the first night they were here.  After dinner we enjoyed Oreo cupcakes and Kadi opened a few gifts.  Her birthday is on the 10th, but we figured we'd celebrate it while she was here.  They were here for New Years Eve, so we decided to hang out at home.  We grilled some yummy steaks, got some king crab legs, and made steamed clams.  I also made mashed potatoes, and we had asparagus to go along with the steak.  It was great!  Jake and Katie also joined us and Katie brought my favorite...her veggie pizza, for a little appetizer.  Yum!  She also made fruit pizza for dessert.  The kids just loved that!  And so did the adults, but we were all so stuffed from all the other food we couldn't enjoy it as much as we should have!
I'm glad they were all able to come down, because it has been over a year since they were able to come down as a family.  Thanks for coming, guys!  We hope you had as much fun as we did!

The girls got their toes painted by Aunt Kristi!

Bella was such a trooper while the kids climbed all over her and played near her and just plain annoyed her!  She's a good pup!

 Vivian stayed with us, and the girls thought it would be cool to eat in Claire's room at the table she got for Christmas.  I made pancakes that looked like a person, fully equipped with whipped cream hair!

 Then they went camping in the kitchen!

One evening we went to the park and walked through the light show.  We took Claire last year and she really liked it, and once again, she seemed to enjoy it.  It was very cold, so we tried to hurry through.

 We gave the kids sparkling juice.  It was so funny to watch them drink it because they're not used to fizz in their drinks.  They said they didn't like it, but they all kept trying it.  Too funny!
