for what it's worth (probably nothing!)

I realize there are probably like 4 people that read this, but it's not like I'm trying to influence millions of people, so I'm just going to share a trivial thing that is driving me nuts!
If you know me, you know I'm a pretty big football fan- I just like the game.  I like to watch, I like to think about the extreme hard work of all involved in the game.  Of course I have my favorite team, but don't feel an overwhelming amount of dislike for teams who aren't my favorite.  I know many people do.  Some people hate other teams so much, I just can't wrap my head around it!  Obviously, the New York Giants didn't even make the playoff's, so clearly, they are not in the Super Bowl.  (But they did win last year!) We still watched every playoff game in this house, even though the Giants weren't playing.  So, I guess I don't really care who wins the Super Bowl.  I hope it's a good game.  Maybe I'll cheer for the Ravens because Baltimore is closer to Winchester than San Fran.  But, my point in all this is how many people have such a dislike for the Patriots and specifically Tom Brady!  Man, oh man...people are all about him.  Win or lose, they talk about Tom.  Why?!  Why do people hate him?  Is it because he's good?  (But I guess not that good, since he lost!)  Is it because he's cute?  (Ok, maybe you disagree, but I happen to think he's a good looking guy!)  Is it because they think he's arrogant?  Or because he's married to a super model?  I mean really...who cares!  Who cares about any of it?  People are so pumped up that he lost- making fun of him left and right.  I just don't get it!  There are hundreds of football players in the NFL, some of which I'm certain can't be as good of a guy as Tom Brady, but people still hate his every move!  I've never met Tom Brady, although my dad has golfed with his dad, and said Tom Senior is a wonderful guy.  I can't help but think he's just not that bad!  It's fascinating to me, really, but ya know, everyone is allowed to have their opinion, just like I'm sharing mine now.  I mean, Ray Lewis could have killed someone for crying out loud, but everyone wants him to win a Super Bowl before retirement...geesh!  Maybe it's because he found God?  Maybe he's just more charismatic?  Now, don't get me wrong, I don't have pictures of Tom Brady plastered in my office, nor do I really think about him, ever, or care if the Patriots win, (Ray Lewis or the Ravens for that matter!)  I just found something interesting about him being so disliked!  If I ever get the chance to meet him, I'll let you know what kind of guy I think he is!  (ha!  Yeah, I'll keep dreaming- not gonna happen, I know!)
