Claire at 12 months

Here are some recent stats on Claire.
She is 21 pounds and 29 inches long.  Both of those are in the 50th percentile.  She got a few shots at this appointment, and she was not happy about it.  At all.  She got over it pretty quickly though.
Claire is so happy to be walking and getting into pretty much everything she can get her hands on.
She is starting to copy some things that we do, which is cute.  It won't be so cute if Jeff says or does something inappropriate and she repeats that!
She is FINALLY getting a tooth!  Just one, and it's not quite in yet, but it's coming!
So that means she still pretty much eats baby food, but I'm slowly giving her some more "real people" food.  Mostly the softer foods we're eating.  So far, there isn't much that she doesn't like.  I think she's a girl after my own heart...loves her pasta and pizza!
She LOVES Bella.  Loves giving her toys, treats, the food that she's supposed to be eating.  She follows her everywhere, and always puts books on Bella, or "reads" books to her.  Bella is so sweet to her, even though I'm pretty sure Bella wishes Claire would just go away!
She knows most of her body parts, and is happy to show you where your eye is (watch out!) and your nose, mouth, ears, hair, etc.
She likes to dance, and she likes to talk? Sing?  Make noise?  I'm pretty sure it's just noise, but it's pretty cute when she "makes noise" with a book in her hands, to pretend she's reading.
She loves books.  She wants to have one read to her all the time.  She wants to turn the pages, and point to everything on them too.
For the most part, she's pretty happy, but there are times she drives me nutty!  She can get a teeny tiny bit whiny at times.  Can you blame her?  So can I!  But when she just says "mama mama mama" over and over and over in the whiniest voice EVER, it's not really cute after a while!
She loves to be in the kitchen with me.  She likes to have a pot and spoon while I'm cooking so she can stir.  There is usually a big mess on the floor to clean up after dinner, but it's ok, since there is dinner on the table, which is good, right?!
I'm pretty pumped to see what Claire has in store for us now that she's a big time one year old!
