Look what arrived in the mail today...
Oh goodness, I'm so happy!
That silly little computer is so awesome...I'm actually kind of giddy about it! (I know, I'm a dork!)
Another thing that I have a tendency to get excited about is ice cream! I know it's not very good for me, and I promise I don't buy it from the store, but I like to go for an ice cream cone (or to Sweet Frog) every once in a while. Well, last summer Jeff bought me the ice cream maker attachment for my kitchen aid mixer. If you have a kitchen aid mixer and don't have the ice cream attachment, I highly recommend you get it! Making your own ice cream is so fun, and it makes me feel better, because I know exactly what is going in it. You can even make frozen yogurt and sorbets. I've made lots of flavors, but yesterday I made cookies & cream. If I went out to get ice cream, I would never pick cookies & cream, but this homemade stuff...yum! It's good! Plus, did you know that July is National Ice Cream month? It's a perfect time to try to make some of your very own ice cream!
I also made Claire some more baby food. We were given some beautiful peaches, so I baked them, and threw them in the food processor. Even though I'm not really into eating pureed peaches, they were quite tasty, and I'm sure Claire will love them. I also had some left-over frozen pumpkin that I baked and froze this fall after it was given to me, so I pureed that with some banana and she loved that! I can't make any claims that I am a perfect eater, and I probably eat a lot more junk than I should, but I am trying to give Claire as many natural and simple foods as possible. She loves fruits and veggies, so that makes me very happy!
I think that's it for now. I didn't work on the deck today since we had a little bit of drizzle, but I'll show you more pictures as I finish up the bottom level.
Have a great weekend!
