weekends are my friend...

I'm loving weekends these days, especially when they are LONG weekends! (and to add to the excitement, we don't have kids in school on Tuesday!) Anyway, this weekend was also one of the last weekends that Jeff will be gone for several days- which I am glad about. It stinks not having him around. The next two weekends he has tournaments, but they are on Saturday only, and they are close by, so no overnight trips for him, which means no single parent nights for me!

My parents came through this weekend on their way to Florida. They came in Friday, and of course we all had a very nice time together. It's always great to see them, and obviously, it's always nice to get spoiled by them, which happens quite often!

They have safely arrived at their place in Florida. Jeff, Claire, Kristi and I will go down for a visit in April, which we're already looking forward to!

It was also a good football weekend in our house! We're pretty excited that the Giants won, although all of us are big Aaron Rodger's fans....he seems like a good guy, but we're all Giants fans, so we were pulling for them all the way! Claire has already been made into a Giants fan too!

I promised myself I wouldn't get all worked up about this Tim Tebow excitement, but I have found that I'm getting very annoyed with people! (and I don't even know half the people I'm annoyed with.) I realize everyone has an opinion,which is fine, and I also realize that religion is a very controversial topic, but seriously people.....he's not the only player in the NFL who believes in God. I could probably go on and on, but I'll spare you. (You're welcome!)

Claire is growing up quickly and has been a real blessing. She had a great week at day care last week, and is still doing well at night. I think she's going to be an early riser, just like me! She's got some seriously chubby cheeks and a smile that makes us all laugh.
