hooked up!

I always get some pretty nice gifts from my students for Christmas, and this year was no exception. I was so spoiled by many of my students. I'll tell you just a few of my favorite gifts this year.
* a gift card to Simply Charming, which is a sweet little boutique here in Winchester.
* a new pretty clip board with my name on the back of it.
* a Syracuse lanyard for my whistle and name ID. (from a fellow New Yorker!)
* a Vera Bradley purse. (love it!) :)
* and...most special of all, a new pair of dress boots. Yes, you read that correctly. A new pair of boots. They are PERFECT! I got those from a student who I coached last year in basketball and track, she was on the 8th grade basketball team this year, and I also have her in class. I have no idea how she knew I needed them, or my shoe size, but I am so thankful! I really was going to try to find a new pair over break.
I am blessed to have built such special relationships with so many of my students. I know I complain about them sometimes, but I also really like them sometimes too! :)

I am getting organized and packed up to head up to New York tomorrow.
